Duplicate Thumbs: A Survey of Results in Twenty PatientsFrom St. Lawrence Hospital, Chepstow
20 patients were reviewed following surgery for bifid thumbs. Those patients with Wassel 1 or 2 duplications generally did well after their initial operation, but over half of those with Wassel 3 or 4 duplications required multiple procedures to achieve a satisfactory result.
