Congenital Triggering of The Index Finger at The A2 PulleyFrom the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mie University, Tsu, Mie Prefecture, Japan Correspondence: H. Hirata, MD, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mie University, 2-174 Edobashi, Tsu, Mie Prefecture, Japan 514. A case of trigger index finger is reported. The diagnosis was made in the neonatal intensive care unit. The proximal interphalangeal joint (PIP) was locked in a flexed position. A nodular thickening of the flexor tendon was felt at the A2 pulley level. Surgery revealed thickening of both the A2 pulley and the radial slip of the flexor superficialis tendon. Division of the A2 pulley released the PIP joint locking.
