Extensor Tendon Rupture due to Kienböcks DiseaseFrom the Department of Orthopaedics, Osaka National Hospital, Osaka, Japan Correspondence: T. Murase MD, Department of Orthopaedics, Osaka National Hospital, 2–1–14, Hoenzaka, Chuo-ku, Osaka 540, Japan. Extensor tendon rupture as a complication of Kienböcks disease is rare. We report a case of attritional rupture of the extensor tendon to the index finger by a comminuted dorsal fragment of the lunate after Kienböcks disease in an elderly woman. Excision of the fragment and extensor reconstruction with tendon graft led to a favourable result.
