E-mail: watsonhand{at}compuserve.com A case involving the accidental loss of all the skin of the palm and the palmar surfaces of all four fingers, and its replacement as a full-thickness graft, is presented. The importance of long-term follow-up to detect and correct palmar skin contractures is emphasized. The literature which relates to this difficult area of loss is reviewed.
