Tel.: +44 113 2740737; E-mail: kulsoomasad{at}hotmail.com We describe a very cheap, simple and effective dynamic external fixator for treatment of pilon fractures of the proximal interphalangeal joint. At final follow-up, nine such fractures had regained an average range of motion of 79° (range, 65–90°). There was high patient satisfaction and there were no serious complications.
