This paper presents six cases who had a contracture of the long flexor tendons of the fingers and exhibited Volkmanns sign due to a chronic abscess or cysticercosis in the belly of the flexor digitorum profundus. All of them were treated conservatively, with full functional recovery in all the cases and with no recurrence.
