Unusual Complication of a Silicone Implant Arthroplasty at the Base of the ThumbFrom the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Loma Linda University Medical Center, California, 92350, U.S.A
Pain developed after arthroplasty of the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb. It was due to perforation of the shaft of the metacarpal by the prosthesis, and was cured by a bone graft.
