Para-Articular Ossification in the HandSheffield Two cases of heterotopic para-articular ossification affecting the finger joints of the hand are presented. One case followed severe head injury, the other followed quadriplegia. The cause of the condition is not understood. Treatment is surgical and proved helpful in one case but of limited value in the other.
