Tendon Transfer for Intrinsic-Muscle Paralysis of the Thumb in Charcot-Marie Tooth NeuropathyAthens, Greece Five patients with loss of thumb opposition due to atrophy of the thenar muscles from Charcot Marie Tooth neuropathy have been operated on. Opposition was restored by transfer of the flexor superficialis tendon from the ring finger to the thumb, using the proximal part of the flexor retinaculum as a pulley.
